Steven specializes in Biodynamic-informed Craniosacral Therapy which is a gentle, whole-body hands-on healing modality. It is designed to identify and release blockages in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the spinal cord and abnormalities in the fascia. These two systems govern the “emotional rhythm” of the body and nervous system. Fascia surrounds and sometimes penetrates nearly all body structures. It is a spider web of connective tissue that has its own intelligence and works very closely in tandem with the nervous system. Blockages and holding patterns of tension in the fascia and cerebrospinal flow are directly connected with subconscious emotions and experiences that the body has not yet fully integrated. Resolution of these can help alleviate many symptoms, both physical and emotional.
A Craniosacral session with Steven is a unique journey that is tailored to each individual’s history and needs. It achieves a full body integration and healing experience without utilizing a typical deep tissue approach.
It is typically done with the client fully clothed on the massage table, but can also be integrated into a therapeutic massage session with the client dressing down to their comfort level.
Craniosacral therapy can help with: chronic pain, chronic emotional trauma, fibromyalgia, headaches, migraine, neuralgia, post-concussion syndrome, scoliosis, stroke, temporomandibular joint syndrome and more.
Steven graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland in 2019.
